The Truth is The Truth is The Truth and it Matters!

We highly recommend this hard hitting message by one of our favourite Bible teachers and Pastors, Mark Driscoll. In light of the "half" truths that are being declared lately (throughout history actually) - we feel it important to defend the faith as we are told... Jude 1:3 NLT - Dearly loved friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the truth of the Good News. God gave this unchanging truth once for all time to his holy people. Tweet

A Gospel Other than...

Wow, the more I study God's Word to find the answers to so many things, I am in awe. In fact, the more I hear Christian leaders who talk as if we can't know the answers to the big questions in life, that we are left to speculate on topics such as death, heaven and hell and such, the more I say, "not true!" I am not sure what Bible they are reading, I assume it is the same one as I read, but why don't they see it? God tells us exactly what He wants us to know. Just go to an online Bible such as  http://www.blueletterbible.org  and check it out for yourself. Don't depend on others, God already covered it all. Sure there are some things we don't know for sure, but we trust Him enough to know, that He knows what He is doing. He is worth all of our trust, let Him have His mysteries because after all, He is God and He knows what we can handle and what we can't.  And actually, those who are claiming we can never know the answers to key questions, so we ca...

Old Stuff...

A video of interest, maybe to you too: "Do you think the emergent church has some hip, cool, new way of thinking? The mentality of "Well, we need to change Christianity..." and "The Bible doesn't need to be the center of everything..." has been around much longer than these "cool, new, hip guru's" would like for you to believe. The root of the problem is called "humanism", and this short video by Francis Schaeffer exposes this way of thinking for the departure from Christian faith that it really is. Notice the similarities between this culture of 1,000 years ago and the culture of today... " Tweet

Former Muslim Imam's journey to Christ - (Part 1/5)

Awesome testimony from Dr. Mark Gabriel. This is part one of five, make sure you check them out. We are presently reading his book "Islam and the Jews" so we can learn the truth about Islam. He was born in Egypt and was raised as Muslim, memorized the Quaran and became a believer in Jesus Christ, not as a prophet but as Lord and Saviour! Tweet

"To Hell, With Hell?"

In light of the recent topic of Heaven and Hell being discussed among Christians as you can see in the post below, we want to post a well written article from Pastor Mark Driscoll, here.   Contrary, to what some are implying, there are clear answers on Heaven and Hell as they pertain to the Christian Bible. If we want answers, we just need to read God's Inspired Word and ask the Holy Spirit to teach us. Yes, there may still be some unanswered questions, after all God is God - and we aren't. Whatever God wants us to know, is in His Word and is taught by His Holy Spirit! We can have rest, peace, assurance and security!

2Cr 5:14-21 NLT - Whatever we do, it is because Christ's love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for everyone, we also believe that we have all died to the old life we used to live.  He died for everyone so that those who receive His New Life will no longer live to please themselves. Instead, they will live to please Christ, who died and was raised for them. So we have stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks about them. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, as though He were merely a human being. How differently I think about Him now!   What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A New Life has begun!  All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to Him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting ...
