Sure Hope Gazette

Hi guys. we were recently encouraged during these challenging times to always hang on tight to the Rock of our Salvation. A dear friend sent us these Scriptures as a reminder. Dear Lord please encourage all who read Your Word and help us all to remember always to hold on to You. Help us not to worry, but to rest, knowing Your Word reassures us that we have no reason to fear or worry. For anyone reading this post, searching for the meaning of life and Sure Hope, please stir their hearts and draw them to You Lord Jesus. Help them to know that being a Christian is a relationship with Jesus and not following a religion. They Jesus loves everyone, inspire of what we may feel. Thank You Father for your love and forgiveness. Please bless all who read Your Word, helping them wherever they need help. We love you Lord. For the first time in most of our lives, we are all experiencing the same thing for the most part. We are all facing warnings about avoiding a virus that can be spread by hand to hand, in the air, so far it kills 3% of it's victims. The more I learn about how it works against the human body in those like myself. I have a neuromuscular disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Which has meant living with the prediction by Doctors decades ago, that it won't be the disease that kills you, but pneumonia. This is because the muscles used for coughing up funky phlegm to fight of respiratory illnesses, just don't function well as I get older. Leaving this world does not scare me, I look forward to spending Eternity with my dear Lord and Saviour. For me, I do fear at times,  the process, or how He will end my physical life. A dear friend and I were discussing  about the importance of memorizing Scripture. In God's Word we are told the Holy Spirit will tell us what to say when facing persecution. [Luk 12:11-12 NLT] 11 "And when you are brought to trial in the synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don't worry about how to defend yourself or what to say, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what needs to be said." Yet, that is a separate teaching compared to the large number of verses teaching us about the importance of hiding God's Word in our hearts. Recently, we have been watching Hebrew Scholar, Dr. Michael Heiser at a great, very eye opening, thought provoking seminar. We also have one of his books called "Unseen Realm" which is the topic of the seminar below. It took him 15 years to write this book, spurred on by reading Psalm 82. As a believer myself for 30 years, I realize how much I read past verses, not digging deeper into what they really mean. With the resources available these days, and thanks to the Dead Sea Scrolls (the Biblical texts), they have been able to grasp the Bible's Words even better. Translating Greek/Hebrew into English definitely can weaken the meaning if no translated accurately. Michael has an incredible insight an heart's desire to explain the meaning of the supernatural realm and Biblical text on the deepest level I have ever heard. Sure Hope, is all about our Absolute, Sure Hope, Jesus Christ. Well, over the years we have watched many Christian testimonies and You Tube channels. Some seeking to share Thee very Sure Hope, we seek to share. Some of them have been very inspiring and encouraging, full of God's Truth and then some, we just can't recommend with a clear conscience. Then this week, we stumbled upon this incredible young man named, Steven Bancarz . Someone worth sharing in hope that God would speak to someone out "there" who would benefit from Steven's testimony or, even to encourage fellow believers as we welcome in, another family member! One of the most awesome things that happened to me when I first became a believer in Christ was learning that I no longer needed to afraid of dying. Since middle childhood (7 or 8) I was so scared. So many questions about the after life and all the between part. I discovered that we can not earn salvation by any good works or anything we do. My heart wanted to know the absolute Truth about life and the meaning of it. It took a long time, but one day the blinds opened and the light bulb went on. At first I didn't have assurance about Heaven because every time I sinned, I felt so yucky and guilty that every opportunity on television or a meeting, I would invite Jesus into my heart repeatedly. Today God touched my heart as I was listening to Pastor Paul Begley. The show is broadcast live daily and is about 2 hours. What touched my heart starts at about the 1:26:00 mark on the video. So the last quarter or so.  That makes me want to share his message/God's message with anyone who wants to listen. Love Covers A Multitude of Sins. He is The Potter, We are the clay. God shapes us and keeps reshaping us, as a potter does his clay. If we have the mind of Christ, we receive peace that we can not create on our own. We have been listening to a documentary, recommended by the Pastor we were listening to today Charles Lawson, of Dr. Rawlings. Pastor Lawson recently experienced a cardiac event  and he officially died for about 8 seconds. He recommended watching documentary about Dr. Rawling. Rawling,  was an atheist but then after experiencing the literal death of patients on the table, he became a Christian! This is a powerful testimony about the very real existence of Hell and Heaven. If you are an atheist, we challenge you to watch. If you are searching, take a look and if you are a Christian, be encouraged.

Phil Robertson My husband and I for a while were watching seasons of Duck Dynasty back to back, when we first discovered it about four years ago. We appreciated the Phil scenes because he seemed real, open and brutally honest. Before that, we had heard the name Duck Dynasty but were clueless about what it was. It wasn't until we heard his name mentioned back then, by a pastor we watch on the internet. It's been a while since sharing Mark Fairley's "Fuel Project" video teaching series. Thought it would be a good idea to share his website to see what he has been working on recently. He is a godly man with excellent teaching and videos. I love listening (watching) teaching and informational videos while I work on my art work. Never been one to sit in silence. This world is not my home, I am just passing through...I believe that is an old hymn I remember, sort of. All I know is as far back as I can remember, even before I knew why we were put on this earth, I just didn't feel "at home" in this world. Didn't know what it was all about then. But once I knew, an incredible peace flooded my soul and has been there ever since. If you are struggling with fear, especially in light of what we face more with life changing world events. I remember how scared I was back as a teen in the late 70s. The nuclear bomb threat, cold war and all that left me paralyzed with fear at times. Back then I didn't know Jesus. Whenever I hear about the latest terrorist attack or horrible crime or disaster, my mind goes back to those days and I think about how afraid young people must be. That is, young people who were like me - not knowing Jesus and the Truth of God's Word.  His Truth is just as real and alive as the day He had it penned....
