Sure Hope, is all about our Absolute, Sure Hope, Jesus Christ. Well, over the years we have watched many Christian testimonies and You Tube channels. Some seeking to share Thee very Sure Hope, we seek to share. Some of them have been very inspiring and encouraging, full of God's Truth and then some, we just can't recommend with a clear conscience. Then this week, we stumbled upon this incredible young man named, Steven Bancarz . Someone worth sharing in hope that God would speak to someone out "there" who would benefit from Steven's testimony or, even to encourage fellow believers as we welcome in, another family member! His sincerity and obvious love for Jesus Christ, and how He transformed his heart, is worth sharing. Food for thought on Bible translations. If you look through the Sure Hope Gazette, you will see there have been times where I struggle with whether or not there is an english Bible translation that is ordained by God, and others are not ordained or basically approved, by God. Being someone who struggles with old english, like Shakespeare's work, I all my past twenty five years I used the modern paraphrases and translations only because it was was for me to understand. But in the last 8 years or so, it came to our (my husband as well) attention that there is a huge difference between the Authorized King James Version and so far, every single other translation published in the last two hundred years. For a year or so I had concluded the KJV was definitely something special, there was no denying that other translations, NASB, ESV and NIV included. My husband is still adhering to the King James translation, but when I read the New Living Translation it just felt like I understood it...

Unless you are living underwater somewhere, you know about recent current events. We are talking about one specific current event, the 2016 United Staes election. This event or more so, the outcome thus far, of this event,  has impacted our lives in a way I never imagined. My husband and I are born Copyright 2016 by A. Berglund and raised Canadians. It has been difficult keeping posted on current event these days. Not that is isn't always that way. But, if you know what has been happening worldwide over the last days, weeks and months, it is hard to watch and listen to everything. My husband and I have rest and peace because of what God's inerrant Word tells us. Without Him, we wouldn't be able to handle life on this earth the way things are. We are warned ahead of time in the Bible that it isn't going to get better. In other words things will worsen before all can be awesome. It's been a while since sharing Mark Fairley's "Fuel Project" video teaching series. Thought it would be a good idea to share his website to see what he has been working on recently. He is a godly man with excellent teaching and videos. I love listening (watching) teaching and informational videos while I work on my art work. Never been one to sit in silence. When I first hear the word Hope, I don’t think about anything "sure" but about a possible Despair, by Anita Berglund brighter future. However, when it comes to our Sure Hope in Jesus Christ, the Bible really shows us how He is an absolute Hope, not wishful thinking or positive thoughts. We can rest assure, that He is all we need to live with peace in our hearts no matter what storms may rage around us. There was a time when I despaired because I had no hope. My life was supposed to end at the age of 20 due to a misdiagnosis of a disability. Terrified of what would come after death and sure that there had to be meaning to life, I let myself sink down low. But, thanks to praying, Christian family members, and the fact that God hears our heart's cry for Truth, He opened my eyes. I was never one to believe in anything just to make me feel better. Spiritual Warfare Is Real.  The Bible says toward the end of Ephesians, that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces in the unseen realms and that we are to put on the full armour of God (my paraphrase). To many Christians, the term Spiritual Warfare is something they avoid like the plague. I have even heard someone state that they can't think about it, it scares them to know that demons and such are fighting against Christians. Based on our experience, we know this battle is real and definitely recommend following God's Word in all areas of life. Since His Word says this battle is real, it is real and worth knowing about. No soldier goes into a battle not knowing a thing about their enemy. To walk into a battlefield blind folded, wouldn't be done. Skipping Without a Rope My dad taught me all about how to take a simple piece of flat shale and using just the right wrist movement and fling, that thin piece of dark shale would joyfully skip across the surface of the flat calm surface. If it didn't work the first time, you just kept trying until you got it. Not sure why exactly, but what an enjoyable activity. Once I learned that, I would look for any rock flat enough (only if there was no shale of course) to skip across any water surface. Some would work, some went kerplunk. Oooh, remember Kerplunk? Hmm, but I digress. But don't ya just like saying that word though? Okay, back to the matter at hand, skipping rocks. Turns out, I also skip proverbial rocks across the Bible as well.
