Take Heart, Because I Have Overcome the World

Image
Hi guys. we were recently encouraged during these challenging times to always hang on tight to the Rock of our Salvation. A dear friend sent us these Scriptures as a reminder. Dear Lord please encourage all who read Your Word and help us all to remember always to hold on to You. Help us not to worry, but to rest, knowing Your Word reassures us that we have no reason to fear or worry. For anyone reading this post, searching for the meaning of life and Sure Hope, please stir their hearts and draw them to You Lord Jesus. Help them to know that being a Christian is a relationship with Jesus and not following a religion. They Jesus loves everyone, inspire of what we may feel. Thank You Father for your love and forgiveness. Please bless all who read Your Word, helping them wherever they need help. We love you Lord. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen [ Jhn 16:33 NLT ] 33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart...

Worlds Collide: Hope In Dark Times And Not

Image
We decided to share how we handle tough times like what the entire world has been going. Self isolation, unable to see family and friends. For those with fragile health, fear of getting ill tries weighing us down. We will be intermittently sharing special Bible Verses to hopefully inspire and encore fellow believers and those who are desperate to know, why are we on this planet. We can have peace in our heart no matter what things may look like. This passage is primarily directed toward fellow believers. We are to encourage each other always. S here is a short video. Be Encouraged...

Hiding God's Word In Our Heart

Image
A dear friend and I were discussing  about the importance of memorizing Scripture. In God's Word we are told the Holy Spirit will tell us what to say when facing persecution. [Luk 12:11-12 NLT] 11 "And when you are brought to trial in the synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don't worry about how to defend yourself or what to say, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what needs to be said." Yet, that is a separate teaching compared to the large number of verses teaching us about the importance of hiding God's Word in our hearts. The following are a collection of verses discussing God's Word and how valuable It is. The first  verse showing how precious His Word is... [Jhn 1:1-5 NLT] 1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He existed in the beginning with God. 3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. 4 The Word gave life to everything th...

Troubled On Every Side, Yet Not Distressed!

Image
In this crazy mixed up world, it is easy to fall in despair and sadness. That goes for our fellow believers as well, it is why we must remind each other what God's Word says.... [2Co 4:1-6, 8-18 KJV] 1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledg...

Meet Jesus Long Before He Came To Earth

Image
God's Word is full of prophecies about what is to come. Many prophecies, the most important the ones about the coming Anointed One or Messiah, Who is Jesus Christ have been fulfilled. So those who are waiting for their Saviour, He is Here! One of my favourite prophecies was written  about 600-700 years BC! It is so Awesome to read about what was to happen,  happened.... [Isa 53:7-12 ESV] 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. 8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people? 9 And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to g...

Peace, Even In A Storm...Be Encouraged

Today is the culmination of months and months and month, of the most unconventional political campaign we have ever witnessed. For the first time in my life and my husband's we have been paying close attention to the American Presidential race. Nope, not since I ran as a candidate in our provincial election about 22 years ago, have I watched an entire political debate, we watched almost all three of the Trump Clinton debates, along with commentaries, highlights and analysis'. We both feel that the Republicans are the party we would support. Why? Why would be so interested in this election? Well, aside from the obvious, Canada shares a border with America. In fact our city is about fourty miles from their border. My old high school teacher illustrated it best. Way back when, Mr. Nurmi, our geography teacher, told us that when America sneezes, Canada catches a cold. It was a statement made over thirty years ago, that made an impression on my then, young mind. It was one of the...

SURE HOPE IN DARK TIMES....HOPE IN ALL TIMES

Image
It has been difficult keeping posted on current event these days. Not that is isn't always that way. But, if you know what has been happening worldwide over the last days, weeks and months, it is hard to watch and listen to everything. My husband and I have rest and peace because of what God's inerrant Word tells us. Without Him, we wouldn't be able to handle life on this earth the way things are. We are warned ahead of time in the Bible that it isn't going to get better. In other words things will worsen before all can be awesome. If you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, you already know that even though we may be brought to tears watching the news, and even feel the temptation to be afraid of what might happen...God reminds you through His Words to not lose heart.  If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, then you most likely might be feeling the fear and dread that I once battled as a child on through the first twenty years of life. All dr...

God Cares...

Image
Ever worry? As believers one of the most reassuring thing we need to learn is that our God is dependable. He cares for us in all ways. For myself, because I live with a physical disability, I often struggle with worrying. Worrying about something like,  how will I be able to hire a new Personal Care Attendant if the one I have resigns? How will I be able to get out of or into bed? Oh no, what if this so what if that? I am sure we all have certain areas in life that we may struggle with. If you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour then join us in reminding ourselves, that God cares for all of our needs. It may not always look the way we want it to, but we must trust that He knows us and knows just what we need and when we need it. We are called to cast our cares, burdens, anxieties onto Him, for He cares for us. We are told to pray without ceasing, to make our requests known to Him. Most of all, Thanking God in all situations, not just when things are going the way we want ...

Proverbs 30-31. Notable Verses and Thoughts

[Pro 30:5-6, 8, 11-14, 18-20, 25-26, 28, 33 KJV]   5 Every word of God [is] pure: he [is] a shield unto them that put their trust in him.  6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.  ... 8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:  ... 11 [There is] a generation [that] curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.  12 [There is] a generation [that are] pure in their own eyes, and [yet] is not washed from their filthiness.  13 [There is] a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.  14 [There is] a generation, whose teeth [are as] swords, and their jaw teeth [as] knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from [among] men.  ... 18 There be three [things which] are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:  19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serp...

"To Hell, With Hell?"

In light of the recent topic of Heaven and Hell being discussed among Christians as you can see in the post below, we want to post a well written article from Pastor Mark Driscoll, here.   Contrary, to what some are implying, there are clear answers on Heaven and Hell as they pertain to the Christian Bible. If we want answers, we just need to read God's Inspired Word and ask the Holy Spirit to teach us. Yes, there may still be some unanswered questions, after all God is God - and we aren't. Whatever God wants us to know, is in His Word and is taught by His Holy Spirit! We can have rest, peace, assurance and security!

Ahhh...Healing Balm

Image
2Cr 5:14-21 NLT - Whatever we do, it is because Christ's love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for everyone, we also believe that we have all died to the old life we used to live.  He died for everyone so that those who receive His New Life will no longer live to please themselves. Instead, they will live to please Christ, who died and was raised for them. So we have stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks about them. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, as though He were merely a human being. How differently I think about Him now!   What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A New Life has begun!  All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to Him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting ...
