This subject is not one that most Christians want to know about or acknowledge. Why? Well, based on my own weaknesses and what draws me in, I can say possibly because many of us were raised on television and movies. For my entire life, there is a false soothing effect when I turn on a television or these days, whatever I can find on the world wide web, YouTube. Like a  drug addiction. When you research the history and purpose of entertainment that reaches the masses, it is clear that it was all created with a  purpose. The Bible According To Hollywood i s a great presentation from T.A. McMahon from the  The Berean Call  ministry, about the recent surge of "Bible Based" productions. Thankfully, a Christian who is equally concerned about why miss representing the Bible in Hollywood isn't a great thing at all. Sadly, there have been many Christian leaders who have promoted and endorsed these productions. They believe it is at least something about the Bible, that maybe it will get people reading the Bible. That of course could happen, God can use anything to spur us to open His Word.  However, these productions are so blasphemous and distorted, it causes more concern than hopefulness. When we checked them out for research purposes, knowing they are Hollywood born, we are aware that they will not be biblically accurate. Let The Bible Be Our Compass- Not Hollywood The "Son Of God" movie was released on February 28th and we have decided to avoid it, for all the reasons mentioned in the original article. Just the other night, my Mom asked me if we knew anything about a new "God" movie. After I spewed out why she should avoid it. She responded with how people can easily take out the parts that aren't in the Bible, no biggie. Her choice of course. Maybe she'll tell us if she see's it, I'd be curious to know what she thinks. This is the very reason why we are trying to warn others, so those who do go and leave do not leave unquestioning any of it, embracing it as proper doctrine. We must always use the Bible as our compass. Nothing and no one but God's Word can off  His unchanging Truth.
