Recently, I asked a new comer to North America if they noticed all the Halloween decorations popping up. It's about to be my least favourite time of the year. I cringe as I see fake ghosts images appearing on our street, knowing it's just the beginning of ugly "decorations." Apparently Halloween has become the second highest celebrated event in North America. My friend didn't know about Halloween. Thankfully they don't have it in their country. As I tried to tell her what I had learned over the last thirty years as a Christian about it, I was reminded about a great documentary by Caryl Mastriciana's ministry. For anyone who follows Jesus, like my friend, and doesn't know what folks are really embracing October 31st, I suggest learning the truth about what's really going on this time of year. The children don't know but, we are to protect them. We are not to rejoice in evil. Sadly, this day I once loved, is all dark/ It is a spiritual battle we can see. If you think it is fine, please pray, ask God for wisdom and discernment.
