But those who die in the LORD will live; their bodies will rise again!

It always helps to encourage one another with God's Word. As each day passes, we are closer to eternity. We can know why we are here and have assurance of salvation. Just wanted to share the following passages to remind myself and those who want to hear. [2Co 4:3-11 NLT] 3 If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. 4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 5 You see, we don't go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who said, "Let there be light in the darkness," has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 We now have this light...

Fake News? Real News? Our TRUE God Trumps All!

Image
Many of us can remember asking questions or may still ask ones like: Is God Real? What is the meaning of life? What about life after death? Struggling with the meaning of life for me had begun as far back as I can remember. I don't know if it was because a Doctor told my mom in front of me, (I was about seven or eight years old) that I would be dead by the time I was twenty, due to a neuromuscular disease that would eventually render my muscles wasted away enough, that I'd be unable to fight off pneumonia. (Thankfully, even Doctor's are unable to know what only God does!)  Regardless, it doesn't matter what prompted my "meaning of life thoughts."  What matters most to me is that I had them and as a result, I was set free from the depths of despair and fear of death! All of my queries would be answered. Fear of death and the unknown had lifted as if a full sized elephant was lifted off of my being. [1Co 15:51-58 KJV] 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We sha...

SURE HOPE IN DARK TIMES....HOPE IN ALL TIMES

It has been difficult keeping posted on current event these days. Not that is isn't always that way. But, if you know what has been happening worldwide over the last days, weeks and months, it is hard to watch and listen to everything. My husband and I have rest and peace because of what God's inerrant Word tells us. Without Him, we wouldn't be able to handle life on this earth the way things are. We are warned ahead of time in the Bible that it isn't going to get better. In other words things will worsen before all can be awesome. If you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, you already know that even though we may be brought to tears watching the news, and even feel the temptation to be afraid of what might happen...God reminds you through His Words to not lose heart.  If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, then you most likely might be feeling the fear and dread that I once battled as a child on through the first twenty years of life. All dr...

Stay Free - Parts 1-5 by Mark Fairley

Image
After the "Know Your Enemy Series," Mark Fairley produced his latest series called "Stay Free." It has been designed in short segments, just like his previous series. We have listened/watched the entire series and must say again, he has done an excellent job in researching and presenting Biblical truth. In fact, Mark presents what Christianity is all about in a way that is easy to understand. He expounds on spiritual warfare, the importance of walking right before the Lord and how we can not do anything right apart from Jesus Christ's finished work. We highly recommend this teaching series.  And even though, this series is geared toward those of us who already believe in Jesus Christ, Biblical Christianity, it offers a treasure trove of information, in an easy to understand method for anyone who is searching for the Truth.  Say Free. Remember Jesus told us, that He came to set the captives free! "A Series exploring why society collapses witho...

2Cr 5:14-21 NLT - Whatever we do, it is because Christ's love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for everyone, we also believe that we have all died to the old life we used to live.  He died for everyone so that those who receive His New Life will no longer live to please themselves. Instead, they will live to please Christ, who died and was raised for them. So we have stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks about them. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, as though He were merely a human being. How differently I think about Him now!   What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A New Life has begun!  All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to Him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting ...
