The Return Of Jesus - Our Sure Hope. What God's Word Says

Never really thought that I would live to see days like these. My Mom is in the hospital and thanks to the covid pandemic she can only have my Dad visit. As thankful as I am for that, my heart feels sad to not be able to see her. People I know haven't been able to get medical treatment all because of this covid thing. Children have to wear masks to go to school while parents anxiously wonder if and when we will all be under lockdown again. News story after news story, all around our planet shows people wearing masks en masse or protesting lock downs and forced mask wearing.

And that is just the covid pandemic. Then there are the crazy news stories we've watched from all four "corners" of the earth, massive fires, devastating weather phenomena, earthquakes in diverse places, unknown objects being caught on video, strange experiences, locust swarms, mass animal deaths, people hating like never seen before, moral Biblical morals blatantly ignored, families changing in ways never imagined in my life time and so on and so on.

Thank You Lord as hard as all of this is, my heart still has peace in this storm. A storm I think, may just be beginning. I've read about signs and warnings to watch for that help us to know our Sure Hope, Jesus Christ is returning. It's so wonderful to anticipate. I must say after all that has been happening during this past year, my heart feels tested. The temptation to be fearful and have anxiety about what will happen next and will I be able to handle it. Where do I find answers and reassurance? In God's Word. To help remind myself, I wanted to copy and paste some key passages (definitely not all inclusive- just a smattering of God's unchanging Word.) to help remind me and incase anyone else feels how I do.

If I ddn't have Jesus, I would be beyond anxious about all that the entire world is experiencing. God gets all the glory and praise for saving my life. Some of you may say, how can you really know He is real? All I can speak of is what He has done in my heart. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain. He knows our hearts and knows how many hairs are on our heads. Before one day of our life began, He already knew us. He gives us choices to make and He was worth everything to me. Even during the darkest and most uncertain times, He gives me strength to persevere and have peace and rest. Do I fail? Yes, daily I fail and depend on my own strength - only to discover I don't have any ability on my own. He actually wants us to totally depend upon Him. Be encouraged, no matter what you see on the news.

[Dan 7:13-14 NLT] 13 As my vision continued that night, I saw someone like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient One and was led into his presence. 14 He was given

authority, honor, and sovereignty over all the nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would obey him. His rule is eternal--it will never end. His kingdom will never be destroyed.

[Mar 13:2, 5-37 NLT] 2 Jesus replied, "Yes, look at these great buildings. But they will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!" ... 5 Jesus replied, "Don't let anyone mislead you, 6 for many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah.' They will deceive many. 7 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don't panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won't follow immediately. 8 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in many parts of the world, as well as famines. But this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. 9 "When these things begin to happen, watch out! You will be handed over to the local councils and beaten in the synagogues. You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me. 10 For the Good News must first be preached to all nations. 11 But when you are arrested and stand trial, don't worry in advance about what to say. Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit. 12 "A brother will betray his brother to death, a father will betray his own child, and children will rebel against their parents and cause them to be killed. 13 And everyone will hate you because you are my followers. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 "The day is coming when you will see the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing where he should not be." (Reader, pay attention!) "Then those in Judea must flee to the hills. 15 A person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. 16 A person out in the field must not return even to get a coat. 17 How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days. 18 And pray that your flight will not be in winter. 19 For there will be greater anguish in those days than at any time since God created the world. And it will never be so great again. 20 In fact, unless the Lord shortens that time of calamity, not a single person will survive. But for the sake of his chosen ones he has shortened those days. 21 "Then if anyone tells you, 'Look, here is the Messiah,' or 'There he is,' don't believe it. 22 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones. 23 Watch out! I have warned you about this ahead of time! 24 "At that time, after the anguish of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will give no light, 25 the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 26 Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And he will send out his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the world--from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven. 28 "Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. 29 In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that his return is very near, right at the door. 30 I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene before all these things take place. 31 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. 32 "However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. 33 And since you don't know when that time will come, be on guard! Stay alert! 34 "The coming of the Son of Man can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. When he left home, he gave each of his slaves instructions about the work they were to do, and he told the gatekeeper to watch for his return. 35 You, too, must keep watch! For you don't know when the master of the household will return--in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak. 36 Don't let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning. 37 I say to you what I say to everyone: Watch for him!"

[Luk 17:20-35, 37 NLT] 20 One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, "When will the Kingdom of God come?" Jesus replied, "The Kingdom of God can't be detected by visible signs. 21 You won't be able to say, 'Here it is!' or 'It's over there!' For the Kingdom of God is already among you." 22 Then he said to

his disciples, "The time is coming when you will long to see the day when the Son of Man returns, but you won't see it. 23 People will tell you, 'Look, there is the Son of Man,' or 'Here he is,' but don't go out and follow them. 24 For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other, so it will be on the day when the Son of Man comes. 25 But first the Son of Man must suffer terribly and be rejected by this generation. 26 "When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah's day. 27 In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 "And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot. People went about their daily business--eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building-- 29 until the morning Lot left Sodom. Then fire and burning sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Yes, it will be 'business as usual' right up to the day when the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day a person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. A person out in the field must not return home. 32 Remember what happened to Lot's wife! 33 If you cling to your life, you will lose it, and if you let your life go, you will save it. 34 That night two people will be asleep in one bed; one will be taken, the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding flour together at the mill; one will be taken, the other left." ... 37 "Where will this happen, Lord?" the disciples asked. Jesus replied, "Just as the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs indicate that the end is near."

[Mat 24:3-44 NLT] 3 Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, "Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?" 4 Jesus told them, "Don't let anyone mislead you, 5 for many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah.' They will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don't panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won't follow immediately. 7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. 9 "Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. 10 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. 11 And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. 12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. 15 "The day is coming when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about--the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing in the Holy Place." (Reader, pay attention!) 16 "Then those in Judea must flee to the hills. 17 A person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. 18 A person out in the field must not return even to get a coat. 19 How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days. 20 And pray that your flight will not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again. 22 In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God's chosen ones. 23 "Then if anyone tells you, 'Look, here is the Messiah,' or 'There he is,' don't believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones. 25 See, I have warned you about this ahead of time. 26 "So if someone tells you, 'Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,' don't bother to go and look. Or, 'Look, he is hiding here,' don't believe it! 27 For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes. 28 Just as the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs indicate that the end is near. 29 "Immediately after the anguish of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will give no light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world--from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven. 32 "Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. 33 In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. 34 I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. 36 "However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. 37 "When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah's day. 38 In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. 39 People didn't realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes. 40 "Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding flour at the mill; one will be taken, the other left. 42 "So you, too, must keep watch! For you don't know what day your Lord is coming. 43 Understand this: If a homeowner knew exactly when a burglar was coming, he would keep watch and not permit his house to be broken into. 44 You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.

[Luk 20:33-40 NLT] 33 So tell us, whose wife will she be in the resurrection? For all seven were married to her!" 34 Jesus replied, "Marriage is for people here on earth. 35 But in the age to come, those worthy of being raised from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage. 36 And they will never die again. In this respect they will be like angels. They are children of God and children of the resurrection. 37 "But now, as to whether the dead will be raised--even Moses proved this when he wrote about the burning bush. Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, he referred to the Lord as 'the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' 38 So he is the God of the living, not the dead, for they are all alive to him." 39 "Well said, Teacher!" remarked some of the teachers of religious law who were standing there. 40 And then no one dared to ask him any more questions.

[Luk 21:6-14, 16-38 NLT] 6 "The time is coming when all these things will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!" 7 "Teacher," they asked, "when will all this happen? What sign will show us that these things are about to take place?" 8 He replied, "Don't let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and saying, 'The time has come!' But don't believe them. 9 And when you hear of wars and insurrections, don't panic. Yes, these things must take place first, but the end won't follow immediately." 10 Then he added, "Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and plagues in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs from heaven. 12 "But before all this occurs, there will be a time of great persecution. You will be dragged into synagogues and prisons, and you will stand trial before kings and governors because you are my followers. 13 But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me. 14 So don't worry in advance about how to answer the charges against you, ... 16 Even those closest to you--your parents, brothers, relatives, and friends--will betray you. They will even kill some of you. 17 And everyone will hate you because you are my followers. 18 But not a hair of your head will perish! 19 By standing firm, you will win your souls. 20 "And when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then you will know that the time of its destruction has arrived. 21 Then those in Judea must flee to the hills. Those in Jerusalem must get out, and those out in the country should not return to the city. 22 For those will be days of God's vengeance, and the prophetic words of the Scriptures will be fulfilled. 23 How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days. For there will be disaster in the land and great anger against this people. 24 They will be killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end. 25 "And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. 26 People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory. 28 So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!" 29 Then he gave them this illustration: "Notice the fig tree, or any other tree. 30 When the leaves come out, you know without being told that summer is near. 31 In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that the Kingdom of God is near. 32 I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things have taken place. 33 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. 34 "Watch out! Don't let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don't let that day catch you unaware, 35 like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. 36 Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man." 37 Every day Jesus went to the Temple to teach, and each evening he returned to spend the night on the Mount of Olives. 38 The crowds gathered at the Temple early each morning to hear him.

A Song of Praise to the LORD

A Song of Praise to the LORD 2 Open the gates to all who are righteous; allow the faithful to enter. 3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! 4 Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock. 5 He humbles the proud and brings down the arrogant city. He brings it down to the dust. 6 The poor and oppressed trample it

underfoot, and the needy walk all over it. 7 But for those who are righteous, the way is not steep and rough. You are a God who does what is right, and you smooth out the path ahead of them. 8 LORD, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart's desire is to glorify your name. 9 All night long I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek for God. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right. 10 Your kindness to the wicked does not make them do good. Although others do right, the wicked keep doing wrong and take no notice of the LORD's majesty. 11 O LORD, they pay no attention to your upraised fist. Show them your eagerness to defend your people. Then they will be ashamed. Let your fire consume your enemies. 12 LORD, you will grant us peace; all we have accomplished is really from you. 13 O LORD our God, others have ruled us, but you alone are the one we worship. 14 Those we served before are dead and gone. Their departed spirits will never return! You attacked them and destroyed them, and they are long forgotten. 15 O LORD, you have made our nation great; yes, you have made us great. You have extended our borders, and we give you the glory! 16 LORD, in distress we searched for you. We prayed beneath the burden of your discipline. 17 Just as a pregnant woman writhes and cries out in pain as she gives birth, so were we in your presence, LORD. 18 We, too, writhe in agony, but nothing comes of our suffering. We have not given salvation to the earth, nor brought life into the world. 19 But those who die in the LORD will live; their bodies will rise again! Those who sleep in the earth will rise up and sing for joy! For your life-giving light will fall like dew on your people in the place of the dead! 20 Go home, my people, and lock your doors! Hide yourselves for a little while until the LORD's anger has passed. 21 Look! The LORD is coming from heaven to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will no longer hide those who have been killed. They will be brought out for all to see.

Worlds Collide: Hope In Dark Times And Not

We decided to share how we handle tough times like what the entire world has been going. Self isolation, unable to see family and friends. For those with fragile health, fear of getting ill tries weighing us down. We will be intermittently sharing special Bible Verses to hopefully inspire and encore fellow believers and those who are desperate to know, why are we on this planet. We can have peace in our heart no matter what things may look like. This passage is primarily directed toward fellow believers. We are to encourage each other always. S here is a short video. Fear Not n These Unprecedented Times

One person God has encouraged and inspired me with for over four decades or so, has been Joni Eareckson Tada. And she just did it again as she speaks about dealing with times like now, self quarantining because of the Corona virus. Especially When your body is compromised  persons who are at higher risk like Joni and other persons like us with disabilities like her's, a spinal cord injury and cancer survivor, or like mine, Spinal muscular Atrophy and my husband a senior at 68 living with Spina bifida occulta.  It can be tempting to be afraid when we hear all the news about this contagious virus affecting the entire world. If we didn't know our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we'd be very afraid. We want to share some more of Joni's encouraging words about dealing with this pandemic. Nothing is in vain. Fear not.
Be courageous!

The Time is Coming When....

[Luke 21:6-22, 25-28, 31-36 NLT] 6 "The time is coming when all these things will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!" 7 "Teacher," they asked, "when will all this happen? What sign will show us that these things are about to take place?" 8 He replied, "Don't let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and saying, 'The time has come!' But 9 And when you hear of wars and insurrections, don't panic. I Had A Dream. Just Over Three Years Ago

We are all living in a time like we have never seen before. We read in God's Word warning us what to watch for in what many of us call '""'The End Times." Not saying this pandemic and such are what we are waiting for but, it definitely causes us to consider what God tells us.
So thankful that we can have no fear because of what Jesus Christ did for us. Without Him, we would be in a completely different state of mind. If you know Him, you know of the Hope we are talking about. But if not, we want you to know there is Sure Hope. We often put things off thinking we have loads of time. I am guilty of procrastinating most of my life. Not worth it. But thankfully God knows our heart.  Read the book of John and all of God's Word for that matter if you want to know more about The Sure Hope we are talking about.

All of this reminded me about a dream I had three years ago. So we just watched it and googled what happened three years to the day of that recording/dream.  Just was curious and discovered it was on January 26 of this year that the Covid virus was first confirmed in Canada.
Thought it might be useful to reshare the recording I felt lead to make here:

Be Encouraged During These Challenging World Changing Events- Video Shares

For the first time in most of our lives, we are all experiencing the same thing for the most part. We are all facing warnings about avoiding a virus that can be spread by hand to hand, in the air, so far it kills 3% of it's victims. The more I learn about how it works against the human body in those like myself. I have a neuromuscular disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Which has meant living with the prediction by Doctors decades ago, that it won't be the disease that kills you, but pneumonia. This is because the muscles used for
coughing up funky phlegm to fight of respiratory illnesses, just don't function well as I get older. Leaving this world does not scare me, I look forward to spending Eternity with my dear Lord and Saviour. For me, I do fear at times,  the process, or how He will end my physical life. So watching detailed videos about the pathology of this and other health issues, only stirs up the temptation to fear. It's good to know such things to a point, because then maybe those who are not being careful with public contact and hygiene practices, that they will be more meticulous and be responsible for preventing the spreading of germs and such.

The number one awesome fact about a time like this is that it causes folks to think about the meaning of life. For those who don't already know that Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth And The Life.
[Jhn 14:6 NLT] 6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

I wanted to share a Bible Study called Tea With Jesus from a dear sister in Christ named Elizabeth. God lead me to it today, just when I needed reminding to not go by how thing appear, but to rest in Him.
Watch And Listen To Elizabeth as she shares another great Bible Study! (And there is A Bonus Surprise Too.)

Jesus  is our Saviour, Brother, Bride Groom, Wonderful Counsellor, Prince of Peace, Healer, Lover of our Souls....Not Someone you want to live without. We once did and were so lost. If we were going through this uncertain time, without our Sue Hope, we would be terrified, anxious in everything, depressed and probably self medicating, destroying our life. But Thank You God, He saved Craig and I over thirty years ago. And because we can attest to All He Is, That everything written in in His Word about Him is True.
That no matter how dark the world around us may get, we have peace and rest only because of all that Jesus did.
We have assurance of salvation. No doubts because we can never earn our salvation, it is a gift from God. Made possible by His Son. God, fully human and fully God.

[1Jo 5:11-13 NLT] 11 And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God's Son does not have life. 13 I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.

In spite of our Sure Hope, we still face the temptations in these fleshly bodies, to have anxiety and fears.
[Mat 6:25-27 NLT] 25 "That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life--whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

[Mat 6:33-34 NLT] 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. 34 "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.

[Phl 4:6-8 NLT] 6 Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Which is why it is important to fill our heart and mind with God's life changing Truth,
[Rom 12:2 NLT] 2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

His Word to help us stay focused on His Truth. That we will not loose heart. That we will share the Hope we have in Christ Jesus with all those who are afraid and lost. God is allowing all of this for His purposes. He doesn't want one person to perish.

If you are afraid, have questions about Christianity, the meaning of life or live with a physical disability, we'd love to hear from you. We also ha blog about our life called Walking Way Overrated as well as a Creativity blog Heartfully Creating. Praying that all will be safe and most of all turn to Jesus as their Lordand Saviour.

I decided to share another channel that really helps share the Good News and the meaning of life.

To Worry Or Not To Worry...Be Encouraged In These World Changing Times

As an artist, all the virus images did inspire an incomplete painting to the left. Abstracted microbes are unique and interesting, but not to be taken lightly.
As most of us can say, we have never experienced a world wide event like we are now. It really does feel like it's the end of the world as we know it. The question is, Do we feel fine? (check out that song if you aren't sure why I am referencing that song. It's catchy.)

As an artist, all the virus images did inspire an incomplete painting to the left. Abstracted microbes are unique and interesting, but not to be taken lightly.

The 24/7 talk about Quarantines, Cancellation Of Everything, Pandemic, Social Distancing, staying six feet apart, disinfecting everything and hoarding toilet paper and such has definitely increased my heart rate a lot lately. It feels like I am a warrior with my sword and shield fighting against anxiety, not Covid-19, but anxiety!

Thankfully my dear husband says he has zero anxiety. He says he doesn't think it's real, the virus that is, not the anxiety. It's my fault for watching too many conspiracy theory YouTube channels. But I think he means the intensity presented in Mainstream Media, when compared to world history. And I guess when I  consider what his great grandma experienced in 1918, this, so far is a huge contrast to what happened then. She was an aboriginal woman, known for helping to heal victims hit by the deadly Spanish flu pandemic with Sturgeon oil, and roots.
If you haven't heard about that pandemic, here's a decent  eye opening documentary we watched about it.
The final death toll for that horrific event ranges from 50 to 100 million worldwide. Thankfully, we know far more now about how not to spread diseases. And we don't believe we will see anything like Granny Cavanagh did.
Which is why I set out to write this article. Wiping surfaces you never may have thought of before...
Watch How To Keep Surfaces Clean By What To Clean.
We spray 70% rubbing alcohol or higher if we don't have wipes and such.

The Vulnerable Population
We may not be living in 1918 thankfully, but it doesn't mean we are all guaranteed we won't get this illness. In fact my husband and myself, along with plenty of our friends who also have underlying health conditions are apparently those who run a higher mortality risk with Covid-19. Craig is almost 68 and has a physical disability as well. As for me, I'm middle Aged and was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 3, Severe scoliosis is also my achilles heal. Awe heck, decades ago the Doctors told me, it wouldn't be my muscle wasting disease that would do me in, but pneumonia. So it's not a surprise to keep hearing this kind of talk. But I do feel concerned fo my aging parents, mom survived non Hodgkins lymphoma over ten years ago, dad is a heart patient..and then there are all our loved ones with special needs in our lives and our virtual family on YouTube. Shane Burcaw who lives with SMA 3 and Mary Frey who lives with Cystic Fibrosis and my hero Joni Eareckson Tada vulnerable 70 year old quadriplegic.

All of  you guys are on our hearts as we all hunker down trying staying virus free. We encourage all of us to stay self quarantined and I wanted to share some practical videos about how to stay virus free. Every see a movie called Five Feet Apart. It's about Cystic Fibrosis patients and how they can't be less than 5 feet apart. They are highly susceptible to catching illnesses from fellow CF patients.

So all this pandemic talk may have huge effects on our elderly folks (we do feel for those who are alone, with no visitors. But my husband who is a volunteer, says this has been an issue forever, not just now!)
We pray for our dear elderly population, and  us and our fellow vulnerable peers, but we take heart refusing to believe that we won't be able to avoid it. We trust God for His protection, we are living as self quarantined as possible, disinfecting everything we can,
And besides, personally we have more immediate issues to figure out, as I am short one personal care attendant, so Have been preparing to try sleeping in my power tilt wheelchair. While my husband chooses to sleep next to me on the futon. We get to stay up as late as we want and can rise whenever we want. I will be sharing more on this adventure as it unfolds. Hopefully someone who is suitable will apply very  soon. Always an adventure. And as were are about to read, God is in charge...

As Christians, we do trust that God is in control and even though I am battling anxiety temptation, I am constantly reminded to cast all my cares on HIM for HE cares for us. And another  favourite Bible passage is:

[Mat 6:25-34 NLT] 25 "That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life--whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? 28 "And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as
beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? 31 "So don't worry about these things, saying, 'What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?' 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. 34 "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.
