As always, I agonizingly want to search out the history and real history and/or meaning of many festivals and holidays we grew up celebrating. In the last few years, we have felt similar to what Lea does in the video in a previous post (click here) and even after what we learned today, still concur that paganism is at the root of this particular time of year as it relates to Easter the event, bunnies, eggs and Ashtoreth. But not when people are honouring what Christ did for us during passover. We have been listening to a documentary, recommended by the Pastor we were listening to today Charles Lawson, of Dr. Rawlings. Pastor Lawson recently experienced a cardiac event  and he officially died for about 8 seconds. He recommended watching documentary about Dr. Rawling. Rawling,  was an atheist but then after experiencing the literal death of patients on the table, he became a Christian! This is a powerful testimony about the very real existence of Hell and Heaven. If you are an atheist, we challenge you to watch. If you are searching, take a look and if you are a Christian, be encouraged.

Food for thought on Bible translations. If you look through the Sure Hope Gazette, you will see there have been times where I struggle with whether or not there is an english Bible translation that is ordained by God, and others are not ordained or basically approved, by God. Being someone who struggles with old english, like Shakespeare's work, I all my past twenty five years I used the modern paraphrases and translations only because it was was for me to understand. But in the last 8 years or so, it came to our (my husband as well) attention that there is a huge difference between the Authorized King James Version and so far, every single other translation published in the last two hundred years. For a year or so I had concluded the KJV was definitely something special, there was no denying that other translations, NASB, ESV and NIV included. My husband is still adhering to the King James translation, but when I read the New Living Translation it just felt like I understood it...
